A self fertilising tree that is highly recommended for home orchards. It produces a heavy crop of sweet, soft shelled nuts. Does not require as much winter chill as other varieties. Almonds blossom in late winter and therefore it is a good idea to plant in a sheltered position to avoid damage from strong winds and frosts. Almonds ripen in April. The tree can grow to 4.5m x 3.5m.
