A much loved, medium sized shrub that covers itself in sweet, fragrant, pink flowers in the coldest months of the year. Best suited to a semi shaded area with a few hours sunlight a day. Daphne prefer an acidic soil, fertilise with Azalea and Rhododendron food once a year after flowering. Add a layer of mulch around the root zone in summer to keep the roots moist and cool. Protection from intense sun will ensure a better flower set and maintain dark green leaves. Pruning is rarely needed if you pick the odd bloom for a vase. Part sun or shade. Height: 1 metre spread, 1 metre wide.
