Depending on the variety, Calatheas are often called peacock, zebra or rattlesnake plants. Their leaves can have decorative white patterns, dark markings and/or burgundy colouring on the underside. Like many tropical indoor plants Calatheas prefer humidity and indirect light. They do best when potting mix is kept moist, but not wet or saturated.
