A compact japonica camellia with lots of absolutely stunning small red formal double flowers appearing mid season, early spring to late winter. Will tolerate partial sun - partial shade in a sheltered spot. It’s best not to plant in full sun. Grows with an upright to spreading habit with strong, bushy growth. You can shape by trimming lightly as it grows but avoid harsh pruning. This camellia can be grown as a hedge or as a border plant. Height 1.2 metres width 1.5 metres.
