Unique ripens in early autumn and is a prolific bearer of fruit from a young age. Fruit is medium-sized with smooth, soft and juicy flesh. Self-fertile, but plant a couple to make sure you get plenty of fruit. The bright red flowers add a festive touch when they appear in December. Feijoas make a fantastic hedge and will tolerate wind and coastal conditions. They can also be planted in garden borders and used as ornamental shrubs and gap fillers. Frost hardy and prefer full sun. Hedge: 1 metre apart. Height: up to 3 metres Width: 2 metres.
