Cultural Requirements

• Well cultivated and well drained soil essential
• Add organic compost at time of preparation
• Fertiliser general garden food - 200g/m² prior to planting

Planting

• May to July
• Plant cloves 5-8 cm deep, 10cm apart

Harvesting

• Harvest in midsummer when tops fall over
• Lift and dry thoroughly in a well ventilated sunny area for 1-2 weeks
• Once dry, hang in bundles of 6-8 in a dark, ventilated place
• Keeps up to 1 year
