Almond Self Fertile

Almond Self Fertile (Almond Tree)

A self pollinating variety that produces large soft shelled nuts. The nuts can be gathered as they fall from the tree or shaken down. The almond tree is quite hardy but as the blossoms in winter it is best to plant in a sheltered spot to protect from wind and frost damage. The first nuts are generally produced after 3 years. The nuts ripen in March.
