Fireglow is a popular type of Japanese maple, it forms a small, neat, upright tree, the dark purple leaves hold their colour throughout the summer and as the weather turns, the leaves get darker before they fall off in winter. It is an ideal specimen tree or focal point in a smaller garden. The delicate looking, finely cut foliage is actually quite tough if protected from strong winds and intense sun.
